Netball in Widnes
Junior and adult netball in Widnes — a full set of age-group teams, weekly senior training, and a club that's been part of the town for years.
A netball club in Widnes
Widnes is the other half of Grappenhall & Widnes Netball Club — not a satellite of Warrington, but its own set of teams, coaches and training nights. Junior squads run from the youngest Petals upwards, and there's a senior session every week for adults.
Everything the club offers in Warrington, it offers here: the same coaching, the same pathway through the age groups, the same two free taster sessions before anyone commits to anything.
Players travel in from Farnworth, Appleton, Halton View, Upton Rocks, Hough Green and Runcorn, and we also run netball in Warrington if that's an easier journey for you.

Two free taster sessions
Every new player is welcome to two free taster sessions before deciding whether to join. No kit, no membership, no commitment — come along, have a go, and see whether it suits you.
Junior netball in Widnes
Widnes junior teams are organised by school year, so players train with children their own age. Petals is the starting point for our youngest players — playful sessions built around movement and confidence rather than rules — and each squad above it introduces more of the real game, through to squads playing regular fixtures in the Warrington Netball League.
Adult netball in Widnes
Adult netball in Widnes trains on a Wednesday evening at Saints Peter and Paul. Senior players are welcome at both of the club's weekly sessions, so there's a second night available in Warrington if you want it. Squads play league matches on Monday, Thursday or Sunday — beginners and returning players are genuinely welcome, and several of our senior players started that way.

Never played before?
Never played? That's the most common way to arrive. Junior coaches teach the game from the ground up, and adults joining a senior squad get the same patience — nobody is expected to know the rules on day one.
How to join
- 1Book a free taster session and tell us the player's age — we'll point you at the right team and night.
- 2Come along to two sessions. There's nothing to pay and nothing to bring but trainers and a drink.
- 3If it suits, complete the membership form. Fees and what they cover are set out on Membership & Fees.
