Bee Netball is Coming to G&W! 🐝

We’re buzzing to share some exciting news for our youngest future netballers!

Following more of our coaches completing the England Netball Bee Netball Leader course, Grappenhall & Widnes Netball Club will be offering Bee Netball sessions at BOTH of our hubs in Warrington and Widnes from September.

Designed for children from Reception through to Year 4, Bee Netball is the perfect introduction to our sport, helping young players discover netball in a fun, positive and age-appropriate environment.

Whether your child has never held a netball before or is already bouncing around the house desperate to get back on court, we’d love to welcome them!

🐝 What is Bee Netball?

Bee Netball is England Netball’s programme for younger children, introducing them to netball through activities designed to help them play, learn and thrive.

At G&W, we want those first experiences of netball to be about much more than learning the rules.

Sessions give our younger players the opportunity to develop their movement, coordination and basic netball skills, while building confidence, making friends and discovering what it means to be part of a team.

Most importantly, we want them to have fun!

One of the most exciting parts of expanding our Bee Netball offering is that sessions will now be available across both sides of G&W.

Families can join us at our:

This means even more children in our local communities will have the opportunity to take their first steps into netball with G&W.

And those little first steps could be the beginning of a journey through our junior teams and, one day, all the way into senior netball. 🌸

Your child doesn’t need any previous netball experience to join us.

Bee Netball is ideal if your child:

🐝 Wants to make new friends and be part of a team

🐝 Already loves netball and wants to continue developing

Our coaches will be there to support and encourage them as they learn at their own pace.

Starting something new can feel like a big decision, so we’d rather let your child experience G&W for themselves.

That’s why new players can join us for two FREE taster sessions.

They can meet their coaches, make some new friends, get on court and discover whether Bee Netball is for them, all before you need to make any commitment.
